3 New Little Girls!
As you can see Tienna has an infatuation with trying to eat her hands, even when at the swimming pool.

One of our projects this fall was to redo the washroom. This was the warm-up for the main event (remodeling the kitchen). More pictures to follow!!!
Trip Back East 2007
Steve and I with Madelin and Halle at the Jefferson Memorial. It was absolutely beautiful the entire time were in D.C.
We were all starving and decided to stop by a little sidewalk vendor because we just couldn't wait any longer. Suprisingly they were absolutely declicious hotdogs - we must have been starving! After this Jason and Heather headed home and we went further up the coast to Taylor and Amber's.
With Taylor we visited Valley Forge and the equivilent of the Pentagon of the Civil War.
For lunch Taylor took us to Pat's to try a genuine Philly Steak and Cheese sandwich.
Then we drove up to New York City. Our first night there we had dinner at Serendipity where we had our first frozen hot chocolate.
We decided to go to a New York Yankees game because they were in town. Luckily we were able to get great seats. The game was fun though uneventful as the Yankees lost.
The next night McKay and Jessie went to see Wicked on Broadway while Steve and I saw Mama Mia.
We drove over to Palmyra next. First thing in the morning we went to the Sacred Grove, then went to the Joseph Smith farm and then to Hill Cumorah.
Jessie on the Hill Cumorah. We all climbed to the top despite my bum knee.
We then drove over to the Peter Whitmer farm to see where the church was organized and good portion of the Book of Mormon was transcribed.
Our last stop was Niagra Falls where we went on the Maid 'O Mist boatride. It was Memorial Day weekend so that night there were huge fireworks over the falls.
Spring 2007
For Jessie's 20th birthday I decided to surprise her with a leopard print bowling ball. She's quite the bowler after taking a couple of classes in high school and at BYU. Needless to say she was more than surprised and loved it!
Tricia and I went on our first trip as the 2 traveling grandma's to Paris, France. First up was the cathedral at Notre Dame.
This day we started out the day with a great shopping excursion for the majority of the day. Then we decided that since we were in Paris we may as well see some of the sites. We went to the Eiffel Tower and of course Tricia wanted to go all the way to the top, so we did. It took us 3 hours to get up and back but it was worth the time. The first picture was taken at the very top after we made it and the second one was after our little adventure.
Just after this picture as we were walking I stepped funny and tore my messial meniscus. We hobbled back to the hotel stopping for dinner on the way and unfortunately that was the end of my trip. I had to go home and ultimately had to have knee surgery to get everything fixed. The trip was fun while it lasted and I'm hoping it won't be last one for the 2 traveling grandma's!
Fall and Christmas 2006
Next up (mid November) we took a trip to Chapel Hill that happened to coordinate with a work trip for Steve. Since we were there the week before Thanksgiving we had an early Thanksgiving dinner with Jason, Heather and the girls. Madelin and I made turkeys out of oranges and feathers for the place settings which I will never forget. This is a picture of the UNC Dental/Ortho school where Jason is going.
Taylor surprised me by stopping by for a couple of days on his way to California for the holiday. Everyone knew he was coming except for me and I was stunned that they could keep such a good secret. He was here for 5 days and we loved seeing him.
While he was here I got to give him a haircut - something I hadn't done since he was 12-13 years old!
The traditional Christmas bowling. We went to dinner at Bonsai and then had an eventful time bowling at Olympus Hills. We can't quite remember who won but we do remember all the laughs.
McKay, Jessie, Josh and Abbie on our way to church on Christmas Eve.

Fall of 2006 / Trip to Philadelphia and New York
Our first trip to Taylor and Amber's. We were so excited to see them and their house in Philadelphia along with Drexel.
This is Drexel University, Taylor's school where he spends 12-15 hours each day studying and going to classes.
McKay Coming Home / Summer 2006
It didn't take Halle long to warm up to McKay - they had tons of fun together!
That night we went to the Bees game to watch the fireworks - we've done this the past several years.
